William Edward Robinson IV

You may be asking yourself, “Who is Deputy Will Robinson and what is significant about him?” Well, I am here to tell you.

William Edward Robinson IV was a Baldwin County Sheriff;s Deputy and a Milledgeville native. On December 17, 1995, he lost his life in the line of duty while serving the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Department. William was the eldest son of Ed & Marcia Robinson. He grew up in Milledgeville and graduated from G.M.C. High School and Georgia College , now known as Georgia College & State University. At the time of his death, Will was pursuing a Masters degree in Public Administration.

He was an imposing figure, big in stature and intelligence. Yet, he was as gentle as a giant - a great friend and loving human being to all who knew him. His heart was enormous. He was quick to give his time to worthwile causes, and his advice to those in need.

His death was unbelievable and touched the entire Middle Georgia area. He was an honest man, a leader, a strong arm of the community and everyone’s friend. He was Will Robinson.
